Follow these simple steps to make your blood donation safe, effective, and comfortable

🟩 Preparation Before Donation

Eat a Light Meal

Have a healthy, low-fat meal before donation to maintain stable blood sugar and prevent dizziness.

Stay Hydrated

Drink at least 2–3 glasses of water or juice before your donation session.

Get Enough Rest

Sleep for at least 6–8 hours the night before to ensure your body is ready for donation.

Avoid Alcohol & Smoking

Do not consume alcohol or smoke for at least 24 hours before donating blood.

🔵 Aftercare Post Donation

Eat & Rehydrate

Have snacks and fluids to replenish your body and restore energy levels.

Rest for 10–15 Minutes

Take a short rest after donating to help your body adjust and prevent dizziness.

Protect the Bandage

Keep the bandage on for at least 3–4 hours and avoid touching the area unnecessarily.

Avoid Heavy Exercise

Do not lift weights or perform intense physical activity for 24 hours post-donation.
